Journaling 30-day-trial, Day 3

Well, I just finished what would so far be considered the busiest shift at this new job. It seemed like emails kept coming in.one after the other.
But, that’s ok. Time flew by today.
Ooh, yes, and Austin took me down to show me where “reclamations” is. Reclamations is a section of the building where the company stockpiles old equipment, “junked” parts, and so on. They basically allow internal employees to take the parts to their desks and work areas and try to salvage them or make them work again.
So, I went down there and found a few hard drives which I’ll be using to slowly try and build my own RAID array from scratch. That should give me an invaluable learning experience. I also found an HP Pavilion monitor to use at my desk, which I’ll be using on the array as I build it to monitor the status of it.
Have I ever been this EXCITED to be at a job? I DON’T THINK SO!
Surprisingly, I don’t really feel that tired after this shift. I mean, I DO feel “tired”, but not tired. I feel tired from the fact that I did a lot of stuff tonight, but not TIRED like I get after doing something crappy like mowing the lawn (I’ve never really enjoyed yardwork).
Maybe since I’m enjoying this job more than I’ve ever enjoyed a job, that plays a part. I’ve heard the clichès before like “Do what you love”,. etc…
But this is my first time actually experiencing this feeling. How long will it last?
